RM280 Hooked on a feelin’

Usually during a race, I’m moving a lot, always trying different angles, always looking over the next turn…. But sometimes there’s a spot with so much potential that is worth to hold your ground, you feel your photo-sense tingling so much that a gamble on patience is worth it, and sometimes, in rare occasions, it actually pays off.

The anticipation…

The delivery… It was clear that Ampudia’s was the favorite to win, and Ampudia did in fact, deliver.

Airstrip RM280 is clear for take off.

I like my frames the same way I like my coffee… Intense and without pubic hair.

The Kangaroo-Bull or Bullaroo hybrid beast. He was more bull than kangaroo at this section but his fight versus the #1 was one for the books.

It’s rare to see a UTV photo here in this magazine, but when it looks like this, it gets a pass.

But there’s much more to look out than just trucks glued to the sky.

Day dreaming. This spot is becoming a Baja’s classic, epic and dangerous as fuck, my type of ride.

Suddenly, behind on the pack, a Class1 comes in, no sign of self-control in sight… the theory of gravity was tested for a moment…

That guy on the right is doing the very same face I had behind the camera. This is probably the tallest jump I’ve ever seen during a race, it felt surreal to be there, everyone was in awe.

Visual representation of my inner child. (and probably all of who were there, including the racers)

After that jump, I was in peace with myself, plus the light was getting low and the beer really cold, so I started heading back to chill for the rest of the race…

Did I mention that there was a pizza stand just behind the dust? the dust on the pizza was probably without charge.

Holy shit this was a good day.

A successful landing.
